Nona is a family-owned guest lodge located in Madarao, Japan. Our website is www.nonamadarao.com, and all accommodation bookings and payments made through this website are processed securely using Stripe.

3. Pricing & Currency

  • All prices are quoted in Japanese Yen (JPY) and include applicable local taxes, unless specified.
  • Prices are subject to change, but confirmed bookings will not be affected.
  • Promotional discounts, packages, or special offers will be clearly marked on our website.


4. Payment Terms

  • Payment for bookings is required at the time of reservation unless otherwise stated.
  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe, which accepts major credit and debit cards.
  • By completing a booking, you authorise Nona (via Stripe) to charge the full amount of your reservation unless otherwise agreed.


5. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation and refund policies may vary depending on how and where you make your booking:


  • Direct Bookings (via our website):
  • Full Refund: Cancellations made more than 90 days prior to check-in.
  • 80% Refund: Cancellations made 60-90 days before check-in.
  • 50% Refund: Cancellations made 30–60 days before check-in.
  • No Refund: Cancellations made less than 30 days before check-in or in case of no-shows.
  • Any costs associated with the processing of refunds will be borne by the guest.


  • Third-Party Bookings (via booking.com):
  • Refunds and cancellation terms are governed by the Terms & Conditions of the third-party booking platform used. Please check the policy stated on the relevant third-party platform at the time of booking.
  • Refunds (where applicable) will be processed via Stripe or via the process defined by the third-party booking platform.  Processing times may vary depending on your bank, card issuer, or the third-party platform’s policy.
  • Any costs associated with the processing of refunds will be borne by the guest.


6. Booking Modifications

Changes to bookings such as guest details or dates can be requested by emailing hello@nonamadarao.com. Approval is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.


7. Consumer Protection & Dispute Resolution

  • We are committed to fair trading practices and transparency.
  • If you experience any issue with your booking, please contact us directly at hello@nonamadarao.com.
  • If a dispute arises, we will work in good faith to resolve it quickly.


8. Data Protection

We only collect and use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy (available at www.nonamadarao.com/privacy). Payment data is handled securely by Stripe, and we do not store your full card details.
